At the end of the Civil War, a general amnesty was offered the Confederate soldiers, however, those who fell within 13 exclusions had to seek a special pardon from the United States President. Over 15,000 men fell into this category. This CD includes the records found in five different U.S. House of Representatives reports on these pardons.
