Civil War Maps

The following Civil War maps are all reprinted from various sources, primarily from the collection in the National Archives Map Department others from various atlas, books of maps, individual maps and some found in State Archives. Each of them is done with the utmost care and carefully checked for missing details. They are all found in the original color of the source, many of them had been hand colored at the time they were printed so the color may vary from other individual maps. The original date, source and size are given. These maps are definitely suitable for framing.

ATLANTA CAMPAIGN
Gen. W. T. Sherman’s Campaign in 1864 through Georgia. This is a series of six maps from Chattanooga to below Atlanta. This whole series shows roads, railroads, drainage, vegetation, hachures, houses, names of residents, towns, churches, mills, fortifications, and the ‘Lines of march pursued by the separate [Federal] armies.’ All of these maps are in full color.

Printed on Heavy-Stock Parchment Paper, Size: 11" x 17".
This map deplicts the great Cherokee Country drought on the West Side of the Twenty-Four Mountains commonly called "Over The Hills" now located in Southeastern Tennessee (primarily Loudon County). The map was drawn by Henry Timberland in March of 1762. Also includes the names the "Principal" or "Headmen" of each town and what number of fighting men they sent to war.
